Who We Are

AI House, Inc. (“AI House,” “we,” or “us”) is an early-stage venture firm and incubator based in Seattle, Washington. We are committed to maintaining your confidence and trust with respect to your privacy. Please read this privacy policy carefully to understand our practices about how we collect, use and share your personal information.

About This Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to this website (aihouse.vc), our application portal, our events, and our other websites or services that refer or link to this privacy policy (each, a “Site” and together, the “Sites”), and to any other personal information obtained when you call, email, or otherwise communicate with AI House. This privacy policy describes the types of information we collect through the Sites, how we use such information and to whom and under what circumstances we may disclose it. It also describes your choices regarding use, access, correction and deletion of your personal information.

This privacy policy applies when you access the Sites on any computer, mobile phone, tablet, or other device (collectively, “Device”) or otherwise interact with AI House. This privacy policy may be supplemented by additional privacy statements, terms or notices provided to you.

AI House may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the current version on the Sites. If we make material changes to how we use personal information we have already collected, we will provide additional notice.

This privacy policy does not govern the practices of third party applications, products, services or businesses (collectively, “Third Party Services”), including the platforms we use for event registration, which have their own privacy policies. It does govern the personal information we receive from those services.

Information We Collect

We collect information about you in three ways: (i) information that you provide to us; (ii) from third-party sources; and (iii) through automated technologies.

Information you provide to us: We explain here what categories of personal information we have collected, where we got it from, and with whom we have shared it:

Contact information: Such as name, email address, postal address, phone number, and social media or LinkedIn profile.

Source: From you when you visit the Sites, apply to AI House, register for an event, call us, sign up for emails, or otherwise interact with us.

Purpose for Collection: To communicate with you about our programs, events, and investment activities, to respond to your requests, and to meet legal obligations.

Categories of Recipients: Service providers that help us operate our business, such as email, event, CRM, and information technology providers.

Application information: Information you submit when you apply to AI House, such as your company name and description, founder backgrounds, pitch decks and other materials, fundraising information, and your answers to application questions.

Source: From you when you submit an application through our application portal, or from a person who refers you to us.

Purpose for Collection: To evaluate your company for incubation or investment, to communicate with you about your application, and to improve our evaluation process. We use software tools, including AI-assisted tools, to help organize, review, summarize, score, and prioritize applications. Investment decisions are made by our team.

Categories of Recipients: Our team, and service providers that host and process applications on our behalf. We do not share your application materials outside AI House without your permission, except as described in “Disclosure of Your Information” below.

User submissions: Such as questions, messages, or other information you send to us by email (including to @aihouse.vc addresses), through our newsletter subscription form, or through other web forms.

Source: From you when you contact us or submit a form on the Sites.

Purpose for Collection: To respond to you, to send you newsletters and event announcements you have signed up for, and to improve our programs.

Categories of Recipients: Service providers that help us send email and operate our Sites.

Calls and meetings: Notes, transcripts, recordings, and summaries of calls and meetings you have with us.

Source: From you and other participants. We may use note-taking and transcription tools, including AI-enabled tools, in these calls and meetings.

Purpose for Collection: To evaluate opportunities, follow up with you, and keep accurate records of our conversations.

Categories of Recipients: Our team, and service providers that host or process these records on our behalf.

Event information: Such as your registration details, attendance and check-in records, your answers to registration questions, and photographs or video taken at our events.

Source: From you, and from the event platforms we use to manage registration (such as Luma) and provide event security.

Purpose for Collection: To run our events and manage attendance, to understand who is part of the AI House community, to invite you to future events, and to promote our events and community.

Categories of Recipients: The event platforms we use, and event co-hosts or sponsors where the event registration page may say so.

Browsing information: Such as your IP address, the kind of browser and device you use, the pages you visit on the Sites, the date and time of your visit, and the web page that referred you to our Sites.

Source: Our Sites and the service that hosts them, as explained under “Cookies” below.

Purpose for Collection: To operate the Sites, to understand how visitors find and use the Sites (including in connection with applications), to market our programs and events, to protect the security and integrity of the Sites and our business, and to meet legal obligations.

Categories of Recipients: The service providers that host and support our Sites.

Third Party Sources: We may also obtain personal information about you from third parties, including: (1) people who refer or introduce you to us; (2) event platforms and other companies that help us operate the Sites and our business; and (3) publicly available sources, such as company websites and professional networking profiles, and data providers from which we obtain professional information (such as your current role, company, and background) to validate or supplement the information we hold.

We may combine this information with other information we hold about you, for example to maintain an accurate record of the founders, investors, and community members we work with.

Automated Technologies: As described under “Browsing information” above and “Cookies” below, the Sites automatically collect limited technical information about your Device and your visit.

Cookies

AI House does not use cookies, pixels, or similar tracking technologies on the Sites for targeted advertising. We and the service that hosts our Sites may use cookies and similar technologies that are to deliver the Sites, keep them secure, and understand how the Sites are used. You can control cookies through your browser’s settings.

How We Use Your Information

This Section describes how AI House may use your personal information. Depending on how you interact with us and the Sites, we may use your personal information in the following ways and contexts.

Fulfill Your Requests: We use information to fulfill requests made by you, such as to:

Respond to your requests, inquiries, comments or concerns;

Process your application, event registration, or newsletter subscription.

Operate Our Business and the Sites: We use information to provide, update, maintain and protect our Sites and our business. This includes use of information to:

Provide and maintain the Sites;

Notify you about changes, updates and other announcements related to the Sites;

Enhance and improve the Sites, such as add new content and features;

Send service, technical and other administrative emails, messages and other types of communications; and/or

Engage third party providers who, for example, provide hosting, storage, email, CRM, event, and software services, including AI-enabled software tools. Additional information about the third party providers we use is available upon written request to legal@aihouse.vc. We do not rent or sell your personal information to anyone, or share it for targeted advertising. When we use AI-enabled tools to process personal information, we seek to use business or enterprise versions of those tools, under terms that restrict the provider from using that information to train its models.

Manage Security: We use information to enforce our rights, prevent fraud, and for safety and to protect and defend the rights, property or safety of AI House or third parties, including enforcing contracts or policies, or in connection with investigating and preventing fraud or security issues, in the following ways:

Provide technical, product and other support and help to keep the Sites working, safe and secure;

Investigate and help prevent security issues and abuse;

Prevent or address service errors;

Address security or technical issues; and/or

Contact you to inform you about changes in our Sites, our service offerings, and important Site-related notices, such as security and fraud notices.

Legal and Corporate Compliance: We use information to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements required by applicable law, legal process or regulation.

Other Legitimate Interests: We use information in furtherance of other legitimate interests in operating our Sites and business. More specifically, we use information to:

Improve our events, programs, and Sites and develop new ones;

Send you event invitations and community updates relevant to your interests, which you can opt out of at any time;

Understand and maintain our network of founders, investors, and community members; and/or

Conduct audits, reporting, and other internal business operations.

If information is aggregated or de-identified so it is no longer reasonably associated with an identified or identifiable natural person, AI House may use it for any business purpose.

Marketing emails: If you sign up for our newsletter or event updates, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us at legal@aihouse.vc.

Disclosure of Your Information

This Section describes how AI House may disclose your personal information. Depending on how you interact with us and the Sites, we may disclose your personal information in the following ways and contexts. We may disclose information collected from and about you as follows:

To our affiliated entities (such as the funds we manage) and to service providers, to perform a business, professional or technical support function for us;

To other investors or partners when you ask us to make an introduction or share information on your behalf, or prospective co-investors, advisors, and other professionals who help us evaluate or support a potential investment;

To event co-hosts or sponsors, where the registration page for an event says so;

As necessary if we believe that there has been a violation of any Site terms of use or of our rights or the rights of any third party;

To respond to legal process (such as a search warrant, subpoena or court order) and provide information to law enforcement agencies or in connection with an investigation on matters related to public safety, as permitted by law, or otherwise as required by law; and

In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business or assets, in which case your personal information may be one of the transferred assets.

We may also disclose your personal information with your consent. If information is aggregated or de-identified so it is no longer reasonably associated with an identified or identifiable natural person, AI House may share it with third parties.

Access, Correction, and Deletion

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to restrict how we use it, by contacting us at legal@aihouse.vc. We will respond in accordance with applicable law. We may need to retain some information for legally permitted purposes, and we will explain this to you if it applies.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information that we collect, access or process only for as long as necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes for which it was collected unless otherwise provided in agreements between you and AI House or as required or authorized by law. For example, we may keep records of applications and our evaluation of them, including applications we do not move forward with, so that we can consider future applications from you or your team. Personal information that is no longer required to fulfill the identified purposes will be destroyed, erased or de-identified.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information you provide from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access or disclosure, taking into account the sensitivity of the information we collect, process and store, and the current state of technology. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and AI House cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have any questions about the security of your information, you can contact us using the information in the “Contact Us” section below.

Third Party Websites

The Sites may contain links to, or other options to redirect to or integrate with, third-party websites, such as (but not limited to) social media sites like LinkedIn and X, which may have privacy policies that differ from our own. We are not responsible for the activities and practices that take place on these websites. Accordingly, we recommend that you review the privacy policy posted on any external site before disclosing any personal information. Please contact those websites directly if you have any questions about their privacy policies.

Locations of Processing

AI House is based in the United States, and your information will be stored and processed by AI House in the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States or other countries. If you are visiting the Sites from outside the United States, the data protection laws of the United States may not be as comprehensive as those in your country or may otherwise differ from them. Where personal information is transferred from the European Economic Area (“EEA”), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission-approved Standard Contractual Clauses, or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.

Grounds for Processing (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)

When we collect from you any personal information within the scope of European data protection laws, we do so:

Where necessary to provide the Sites, fulfill a transaction or otherwise perform a contract with you or at your request prior to entering into a contract;

Where necessary for our compliance with applicable law or other legal obligation;

Where applicable, with your consent;

As necessary to operate our business, protect the security of our systems and users, detect or prevent fraud, or fulfill our other legitimate interests as described in the sections above, except where our interests are overridden by your privacy rights.

Where we rely on your consent to process personal information, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, and where we rely on legitimate interests, you may have the right to object to our processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children Under the Age of 13

Our Sites are not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use or provide any information on the Sites. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us using the information in the “Contact Us” section below and we will promptly delete that information.
